 Spaghetti Aglio e Olio



Preparation Time:

Ingredients:

  • 200g of spaghetti
  • 4 cloves of garlic, thinly sliced
  • 50ml of extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon of chili flakes
  • Salt, to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped for garnish

Kitchen Tools Needed:

  • Pot
  • Colander
  • Frying Pan
  • Wooden Spoon

Instructions:

  • Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the spaghetti and cook according to the package instructions until al dente.
  • While the pasta is cooking, heat the olive oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
  • Add the sliced garlic to the pan and sauté until it turns golden brown, taking care not to burn it.
  • Once the garlic is golden, add the chili flakes and cook for an additional minute to release their flavor.
  • When the pasta is ready, reserve some pasta water and drain the rest using a colander.
  • Add the drained spaghetti to the frying pan with the garlic and oil. Toss well to ensure the pasta is coated evenly.
  • If the pasta seems dry, add a little reserved pasta water to achieve the desired consistency. Season with salt to taste.
  • Serve hot, garnished with chopped parsley.
