 Avocado Toast with Poached Egg



Ingredients:  
2 slices of whole-grain bread (60g)  
1 ripe avocado (150g)  
2 large eggs (120g)  
Salt to taste  
Pepper to taste  
Lemon juice (10g)  
Optional: red pepper flakes (5g)  

Kitchen Tools Needed:  
Toaster  
Cooking Pot  
Slotted Spoon  
Bowl  
Knife  
Spoon  

Instructions:  
Toast the whole-grain bread until it is golden brown.  
While the bread is toasting, heat a pot of water until it simmers gently.  
Crack each egg into a small bowl, then carefully slide them into the simmering water to poach.  
Cook the eggs for about 3-4 minutes until the whites are firm, then use a slotted spoon to take them out and let them drain on a paper towel.  
In a bowl, mash the ripe avocado with a fork, mixing in lemon juice, salt, and pepper to taste.  
Once the toast is done, spread the mashed avocado on each slice of bread.  
Place a poached egg on top of each avocado toast, and add red pepper flakes if you like.
