Ingredients:

  • 100g of dark chocolate
  • 50g of unsalted butter
  • 75g of granulated sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 50g of all-purpose flour
  • 30g of cocoa powder
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Kitchen Tools Needed:

Instructions:

  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter, and melt them together in the microwave or over a double boiler
  • Once melted, remove from heat and add granulated sugar into the mixture, stirring well.
  • Add in the egg and continue to mix until fully incorporated.
  • Sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold gently until just combined.
  • Stir in the vanilla extract, ensuring not to over-mix.
  • Pour the brownie batter into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
  • Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
