Classic Chocolate Brownies

Ingredients:
- 100g of dark chocolate
- 50g of unsalted butter
- 75g of granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 50g of all-purpose flour
- 30g of cocoa powder
- a pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Instructions:
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F).
- In a mixing bowl, combine the dark chocolate and unsalted butter, and melt them together in the microwave or over a double boiler
- Once melted, remove from heat and add granulated sugar into the mixture, stirring well.
- Add in the egg and continue to mix until fully incorporated.
- Sift in the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, and salt, then fold gently until just combined.
- Stir in the vanilla extract, ensuring not to over-mix.
- Pour the brownie batter into a greased baking pan and spread evenly.
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 12-15 minutes or until a toothpick comes out with a few moist crumbs.
- Allow to cool before slicing into squares.
